DIY : Mother's Day Gift

Mother's Day is right around the corner and I have an easy, quick DIY for you that is sure to make that glamorous mom out there happy!

What you will need for this project :

  • Candles
  • Gold Spray Paint
  • Spray Adhesive / Finish
  • Cardboard / Paper Surface
  • Tape ( I used an industrial strength adhesive tape, but I later found that it's best to use tape with less adhesive, such as scotch tape )
  • Scissors

Step 1 : Use the tape to wrap around the top of the candle glass leaving about an inch available at the bottom.

Step 2 : Lay the candle down onto your surface and spray the bottom with the adhesive spray.

Step 3 : Spray the candle glass with the gold spray paint. Be careful to not allow any of it to find its way off your surface. I took mine outside and had to be careful with the wind blowing the paint, so that is also something to consider!

Step 4 : Line up all of your candles and do a second coat of gold spray paint. This will avoid any missed spots and make the paint more prominent.

Step 5 : Carefully peel off your tape so that you create a straight, fine line.
